Positive Steps is able, as a result of their professional and vocational experience, to provide you with a tailor made package of support that will enable you to successfully deliver your Diploma. All materials and resources are personalised for your school and focus on your local community.
Year Plan - this identifies an order of unit delivery with clear assessment and verification dates.
Scheme of Work - to include identification of specific unit learning outcomes. Teaching and learning activities are signposted to PLTS, ECM, & Functional Skills
Induction Pack - an important and necessary introduction to students programme of study. This pack will support students understanding of the course content, expectations and provides an introduction to work experience.
Teaching and Learning Materials - each unit will include: PowerPoint presentations, task sheets, handouts, CD and DVD materials that are personalised to the school and mapped to local community resources and provision.
Unit Assignments - although assignment exemplars are provided by Awarding Bodies, very often they do not fit the needs or life experiences of the students who are following the Diploma. Sometimes social and cultural restrictions mean that students do not understand the concepts that are indicated in the exemplar materials. Positive Steps can design assignments that are fit for purpose and meet Awarding Body requirements as well as students needs.
Conferences/Focus Days - these events will focus on the Principal Line of Learning and provide students and Diploma Teachers with the opportunity to meet a range of professionals directly involved in the world of work. Each event will be tailored to meet the needs of your school/college.
Assessment and Verification - a major part of ensuring success is the implementation of a robust assessment strategy. Positive Steps can assist you in the development and management of your assessment systems. We also provide accredited training for assessors and moderators.
Coaching and Mentoring - this service is provided on a one to one or group basis and provides organisations with the opportunity to ensure those involved in delivery of the Diploma have the opportunity to access support and guidance from a Coach or Mentor who has a wide network of contacts within all lines of learning of the Diplomas.
